DOOMDOOMA, March 1 - Thousands of earthen lamps were lit by the villagers on the bank of Noa-Dihing river under Kakopathar Block of Doomdooma Circle in Tinsukia district for early recovery of music maestro Zubeen Garg , who suddenly fell sick on Friday while preparing a project on Borgeet.
Zubeen was invited to inaugurate a bamboo bridge constructed by the villagers in Tinsukia district, which was named after him.
Bulbul Maut, the chief convenor of Zubeen Garg Bridge Inauguration Committee said, � Thousands of people gathered on the bank of Noa -Dihing river, lit earthen lamps and offered prayers to the Almighty for his speedy recovery.�
�All the programmes in this connection were cancalled. People are worried about his health. We are in close touch with the Zubeen Garg team and taking stock of his health every moment,� Maut added.
