Pratima strikes gold, bronze for Jayanta

GUWAHATI, April 25 � Assam girl Pratima Boro, representing Indian Railways, won the gold medal in the Senior National Archery Championship.

On the second day of the meet at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium, Sarusajai here today, Pratima won the gold medal in 60m recurve category.

On the other hand, local boy Jayanta Talukdar had to be satisfied with the bronze medal in the 30m category. Vaidyanath won the gold with 354 points, while Priyam clinched silver with 353 points. Jayanta also scored 353 points.

Atanu Das won gold in the 50m event, while A Raju and Tarundeep Rai came out with silver and bronze medals respectively. The 70m gold went to Mangal Singh.

In the 90m category, A Raju won gold, while Priyam and Kapil took silver and bronze medals respectively.
