Pramila initiates Gaonloi Bolok mission

KOKRAJHAR, Sept 15 - With an objective to forge close contact with rural people of the State, Cabinet Minister Pramila Rani Brahma recently initiated �Lets go to the village� (Gaonloi Bolok) mission in Kokrajhar district.

In this connection, a review meeting of the Soil Conservation Department was held last Saturday at a remote village at Ultapani near the Indo-Bhutan border area in Kokrajhar district.

The meeting was chaired by Social Welfare and Soil Conservation Minister Pramila Rani Brahma. A number of officials from Kokrajhar and other districts attended the meeting.

During the meeting, the Minister took stock of the status of implementation of various welfare schemes and projects initiated by the departments across the State.

Speaking on the occasion, she said that the meeting was organised in a remote area with an intention to communicate with people at the grassroot level for expediting developmental activities.

She informed that similar review meetings would be held very soon in Majuli and Tinsukia districts.
