PPEs donated to GMCH

GUWAHATI, April 17 - Responding to the appeals by the Centre and the Assam government, Rotarians and Cottonians have joined hands to support the coronavirus fighters in the State.

A team of Rotary Club of Guwahati South and Cottonian Class of �75 today handed over 100 Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) kits worth Rs 1,20,000 to the Principal and Superintendent of Guwahati Medical College & Hospital, Dr Ratna Kanta Talukdar and Dr Ramen Talukdar respectively. The PPE kits include coverall, mask, gloves, cap, shoe cover, etc.

The Rotary team was led by former Club president Dr Anil Mahanta, Dr Robin Majumdar and Rajkamal Bhuyan, while the CC�75 team comprised its president Jyoti Das and treasurer Khanin Talukdar.

With the GMCH facing acute shortage of PPE kits, the donated items were immediately distributed among doctors, nurses and other health workers, stated a press release.
