GUWAHATI, Oct 6 - The Directorate of Research (Vety), Assam Agricultural University, Khanapara, Guwahati is organising the �Poultry Expo-2019� in collaboration with the All Assam Poultry Farmers and Traders Association and Indian Chamber of Commerce (Industry Partner) at College of Veterinary Science, Khanapara playground from October 17 to 19, stated a press release.
The event is first of it kinds in poultry in the North East with an aim to promote the poultry sector in the region. It will be a platform for poultry industrialists to exhibit their different poultry products, machinery tools. Rural farmers, unemployed youth and local entrepreneurs can exploit and learn many unknown things.
In the expo there will be intermingling of all stakeholders like producers, manufacturers , breeders, technocrats and consumers in a common forum that will facilitate the exchange of knowledge which will help in development and expansion of the poultry sector in this region.
It is also informed in the press release that there will be various technical sessions related to poultry production and some important issues related to public health importance like antibiotic residues, consumption of broiler meat, farm egg etc.
