Postal rout Bud for Ramesh Baruah Trophy

GUWAHATI, Jan 13 � Postal humbled Bud Cricket Club by a big margin of 60 runs to clinch the crown in the Gauhati Town Club organised Ramesh Baruah Trophy Cricket Tournament.

In the low scoring summit clash at the Judges� Field here today, Postal managed to score a fighting total of 164 losing all the wickets in 38.3 overs with Sujay Tarafdar being the top scorer with 46. Abhijit Sinha Roy was the other notable contributor with 39.

Bud batsmen were in a poor shape today while chasing the target. Postal spinner Gokul Sharma and pacer Pritam Das were in devastating form and came out with four and three wickets hauls respectively to script an easy victory for Postal. Gokul Sharma was adjudged man-of-the-tournament while Nitin Das of Gauhati Town Club and Sarupam Purkayastha of Bud received the best batsman and best bowler awards respectively. The man-of-the-match award went to Sujay Tarafdar.
