Population explosion behind most problems plaguing the country

By City Correspondent

GUWAHATI, Oct 11 - Dr Indresh Kumar, national executive member of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and the chief conservator of the organization, today said that the main reason behind the problems of unemployment, poverty, hunger and malnutrition in the country is the hugely increasing population.

He suggested that in order to solve the problem of population explosion, it is necessary for all citizens of the country to apply the population laws uniformly, rising above caste, religion, region and language. He said this during an online interaction programme with thousands of activists from 22 states across the country organized by the Jansankhya Samadhan Foundation via Facebook Live.

India will become a developed nation by becoming self-sufficient with strict control over the population. The dream of becoming a monolithic and Vishwaguru will be fulfilled, said Dr Kumar.

Encouraging the activists of the Jansankhya Samadhan Foundation, Dr Kumar said that on the occasion of World Population Day on July 11, activists of 162 district headquarters across the country sent a population memorandum to the Prime Minister through the concerned District Magistrates. It was an admirable effort, he said.

Following the Facebook Live session, a meeting was held among the members of the Jansankhya Samadhan Foundation, Northeast and Assam chapter, at Assam Prakashan Bharati Bhawan.

Sailendra Pandey, chairman of JSF Northeast chapter, stressed the importance of adhering to population laws for the countrys wellbeing.

The meeting was attended by Vidyabharati, North East Organization secretary Brahma Rao, Nang Lucky Gogoi, vice chairperson, State Anti Drugs and Prohibition Council, Assam, professor of the Krishna Kant Handique Govt Sanskrit College Udita Bhattacharya, and author-activist Ranjib Kumar Sarma.
