IMPHAL, March 20 - The 27th Governor�s Cup Invitation Polo Tournament and the 16th Governor�s Cup Women�s Polo Tournament, began at the Mapal Kangjeibung here as State Chief Secretary O Nabakishore Singh inaugurated the championships on Sunday.
Manipur Police Sport Club (B) won the opening game against Chingkhei Hunba Polo Club by 7-1. Th Kaoba Singh (1) in the first chukker, team captain I Khaba Singh scored (2) goals in the third chukker, T Pradeepkumar Singh scored (3), two in the first chukker and one in the fourth chukker with O Suresh Singh scoring (1) in the second chukker. The only goal of Chingkhei Hunba Polo Club was scored by S Bronson.
