By Spl Correspondent

NEW DELHI, Jan 23 - BJP general secretary (in-charge) for North East, Ram Madhav on Tuesday said that the Assembly election in Nagaland is part of the solution of the Naga problem.

Talking to newsmen on the side lines of a book release function, organised by BJP ahead of the Assembly polls in the State, Ram Madhav said that a section wants solution of the Naga problem before the polls. But I wish to tell them that election itself is part of the solution, he said.

The Assembly poll in Nagaland is a Constitutional necessity, Ram Madhav argued.

He revealed that the resolution of the Naga problem have reached the last stage of the long-drawn peace process. We need a strong government in Nagaland for solution of the Naga problem, Madhav said.

He denied that RSS has prepared a draft note for solution of the Naga problem. Asked about the draft note prepared by RSS member Jagadamba Mall, the BJP general secretary said that it was personal initiative of an individual. He also warned that strict action will be initiated against those who have tried to create confusion about the Naga problem.

Meanwhile, the BJP general secretary mounted a scathing attack on Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar, describing him as a two-faced individual. He alleged that the Left Front Government practices politics of violence.

The occasion was release of a book Manik Sarkar Real and Virtual authored by Dinesh Kanji. The meeting was also attended by Meenakshi Lekhi MP and BJP national spokesman Sambit Patra among others.

Alleging that total lawlessness prevailed in Tripura, Ram Madhav said that Left parties have no relevance in todays politics.
