DIPHU, June 8 - The second round of the randomisation meeting for polling officials was held at the Deputy Commissioner�s conference hall here. The Deputy Commissioner of Karbi Anglong is also the Returning Officer for the KAAC election, 2017.
All three election observers, Additional Deputy Commissioners (Election) and representatives of political parties and agents participated in the meeting. It may be mentioned here that the lists of all polling personnel were randomly generated in the meeting.
According to official reports, the total number of presiding officers stand at 539. There are as many as 651 first polling officers. The third polling officers total 499 and the fourth polling officers number 22. In six polling stations where more than 1,200 voters are present, fourth polling officers were appointed.
