Poll observers arrive in Haflong, Diphu

HAFLONG/DIPHU, March 28 � Rajbir Singh, IAS, Election General Observer for Haflong (ST) Legislative Assembly Constituency, a segment of the Autonomous District parliamentary constituency, has arrived here and he has been stationed at the Circuit House to monitor the poll process.

The office of the poll observer has been set up in room No.6 of Haflong Circuit House.

Meanwhile, the Election Commission of India (ECI) has appointed Ashok Kumar, senior IAS officer, as an election observer for the No. 3 Autonomous District ST (H) Parliamentary Constituency.

Kumar, who has arrived in Diphu, has been monitoring the progress of the election process all over Karbi Anglong for free and fair conduct of the ensuing Parliamentary elections, to be held on April 12, stated the District Election Media Cell on Thursday.

Any objections or complaints regarding the election rules and the model code of conduct by any political party or candidate may contact the election observer at the Diphu Circuit House, the media cell added.
