GUWAHATI, Oct 23 - The election committee of the Asam Sahitya Sabha today urged all sections of people to inform it about any incident of violation of model code of conduct issued for the election to be held for the posts of president, vice-president and general secretary.
In a statement, Bijon Kumar Mahajan, spokesperson of the election committee, stated that any person can contact Samiran Bordoloi, in-charge general secretary of Asam Sahitya Sabha, to inform about any incident of violation of the model code of conduct at its Jorhat office.
Again, in Guwahati, anyone can contact Kanak Kumar Bora, treasurer of the Asam Sahitya Sabha, to report such incidents. A person can file complaint in written form or by calling in the mobile numbers: 9435052588 and 9101611751.
Among all other codes of conduct, the election committee also restricted canvassing in any form for any candidates for this election.
