GUWAHATI, April 30 Accusing the Centre of resorting to political gimmick over the Land Boundary Agreement (LBA) with Bangladesh, Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi today said that the move to exclude Assam from the agreement has once again exposed the Government of Indias indifferent attitude towards the people of the State.

Gogoi alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party-led government at the Centre wants the land dispute of Assam with the neighbouring country to linger for the sake of political gains.

I vehemently oppose the new amended Bill to be ratified in Parliament, Gogoi told newsmen today. Even Prime Minister Narendra Modi had supported the deal. But why is this sudden U-turn now? Gogoi questioned.
