Agartala, Oct 29 (PTI): The officer-in-charge of Kamalpur police station in Dhalai district near here was arrested on charges of raping a minor girl inside his official residence.
"The OC, Dilip Guha was arrested last night from Behalabari in Khowai police station of West Tripura district and suspended from job," DIG police control Nepal Das said. He said, Guha asked his domestic help to bring the 14-year-old girl from Khowai police station area promising her a job. When the girl came to his residence at Kamalpur on October 26, the officer forced her to drink liquor and later raped her, the DIG said.
The victim returned home at Khowai the next day and narrated the entire sequence to her father following which her father filed an FIR against the police officer yesterday.
