IMPHAL, Oct 3 - Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh today inaugurated a guesthouse of Senapati District Police at Mao via video conferencing here. The guesthouse was constructed at a cost of around Rs 27 lakh. The Chief Minister said that the BJP-led government is making sincere efforts to ensure that development and administration reach the most interior parts of the State.

Stating that Mao is one of the most important entry points to Manipur, Biren acknowledged the difficulties faced by the police in checking entry of people during the pandemic. He also instructed the police to continue working with dedication and sincerity, and stated that rewards for hard work come automatically. Mao is about 110 km from Imphal. He expressed hope that the newly inaugurated guesthouse would reduce the inconvenience faced by police officers and personnel earlier while visiting the border town on official purposes.
