GUWAHATI, June 20 - Assam Police personnel converged at the Sonaram field yesterday to get ready to render their services during the Ambubachi Mela, which starts at the Kamakhya Temple here tomorrow.
As the city police force alone will not be enough to manage and streamline lakhs of devotees coming to an event of such grand a scale as Ambubachi Mela, around 1,300 police personnel from different districts of Assam took part in yesterday�s programme that started from 10 am.
The personnel were given specific instructions on the duties they are expected to carry out during the festival that will come to an end in the morning of June 25.
