PATACHARKUCHI, Oct 1 - Along with the rest of the State, Police Day was observed at the Patacharkuchi Police Station today with various programmes.
The flag was hoisted by Chandan Goswami, the officer-in-charge of the Patacharkuchi Police Station, followed by an oath-taking by the police personnel. A plantation programme was later held on the campus of the police station.
Sikhar Goswami, secretary, and Rafiqual Haque, president and secretary of Pragjyoti Club, and a few others also took part in the plantation programme.
Four barricades were donated to the police station by the Pragjyoti Club. A new garden on the police station campus was inaugurated on the occasion.
An awareness meeting was also organised at Nirmal Halio College to make the students of the college aware of the new MVI Act and other Acts.
Birinchi Kr Borah, SDPO, Bajali took part in the awareness meeting.
