Police custody for Kujendra

GUWAHATI, March 29 - Kujendra Doley, the Irrigation Department Secretary, who was arrested on Tuesday on charges of accepting bribe, was today produced before the Court of Special Judge, Assam here. The court remanded him in five-day police custody.

Sleuths of the anti-corruption and vigilance (ACV) wing of Assam Police have recovered over Rs 54 lakh from the office and residence of Doley. Six seizure lists were also submitted to the court by the investigating officer of the ACV.

�Six bank passbooks and other documents have also been seized,� sources said.
