GUWAHATI, May 26 � Assam Police chief Khagen Sarma today appealed to the aspiring Assam Police recruits not to fall prey to the middlemen during the course of the recruitment process that aims to employ 6748 new constables.
Sarma said that the recruitment process is one of the biggest exercises of Assam Police and we are trying to ensure 100 per cent transparency.
He said that as per schedule, the physical tests would be over by June 8 after which written tests would be conducted.
The physical tests are being conducted in 37 venues across the State.
�We have received some complaints in this regard. Recently, two women were picked up in suspicion of taking money from some aspirants. I appeal to the people not to fall prey to such elements,� Sarma said.
Sarma announced some helpline numbers (9854077728/9854077729/9854077723) and also kept provisions for lodging of such complaints through Facebook, Whats app and the grievance portal in the Assam police website.
