PM�s social security schemes launched

GUWAHATI, May 10 � Coinciding with the national and State-level launching programmes of Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY), Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Bima Yojana (PMJBY) and Atal Pension Yojana (APY), a district-level launching ceremony was organized at the Kamrup Metro DC�s office here last evening.

Dr M Angamuthu, Deputy Commissioner of Kamrup Metro and Chairman of the District Level Implementation Committee of Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY), launched the programmes in the district by lighting lamps in the presence of officials of government departments, banks, insurance firms, oil and LPG marketing companies and telecom firms.

In his speech, the DC urged all banks and insurance companies to make the new social security schemes successful and urged everybody to work hard and ensure that there is 100 per cent implementation of the three schemes in Kamrup Metro.

Sudip Dhar, Lead District Manager and Secretary of District Level Implementation Committee of PMJDY, expressed hope that there will be massive success of the programmes in the district.
