NEW DELHI, June 28 � Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh has assured the Assam Government of all help to deal with the flood situation in the State. An official spokesman said the Prime Minister called the Health Minister, Hemanta Biswa Sarma to enquire about the condition in the State.
The Prime Minister has also announced ex-gratia assistance to families of those who lost their lives in the recent floods in Assam. An assistance of Rs 1 lakh has been announced for the next of kin of each of the deceased fromthe PM�s National Relief Fund.
