GUWAHATI, April 1 - Ten artistes including seasoned and upcoming artists and singers on Thursday appealed to the people, especially the younger generation, to exercise their voting rights in the forthcoming Assembly polls.

On the occasion, the artistes assembled at the Kharghuli residence of singer Zubeen Garg and took part at an event titled �Colour Pellet� organized by Poruwa, a cultural organization in association with Kalaguru Artists� Foundation.

The artistes included Nani Barpuzari, Champak Barbara, Prabin Kumar Nath, Aditi Chakravarty, Monika Devi, actor Pabitra Rabha, actor-lyricist Sasanka Samir, art students Milon Kashyap and Deepsikha Das, and singer Zubeen Garg.

All the artistes did an on-the-spot painting. Zubeen also felicitated the nine artistes.
