SILCHAR, Dec 6 - Officials of the District Sports Association (DSA), Silchar submitted a memorandum to State Finance Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma during his visit to Silchar on Thursday urging him to sanction fund for infrastructure development at the Satindra Mohan Dev Stadium.
In an informal gathering, Babul Hore, president of DSA welcomed the Minister with a memento while secretary Subimal Dhar handed over the memorandum.
�The unfinished work of infrastructure development including the pavilions, press box and the galleries need financial assistance and hence we sought a grant of Rs 15 crore from the State Government. The Minister has given positive assurance to our plea and said he would look into the matter with priority,� Hore told The Assam Tribune.
