GUWAHATI, Sept 5 - Socio-cultural organisation New Art Players today felicitated noted playwright Arup Chakravarty at his residence on his 83rd birthday.
Chakravarty was a founder member and secretary of New Art Players. He has over 22 dramas and other literary creations to his credit.
Musician Ramen Baruah, actress Madhurima Kakati, radio artiste Mallika Baruah and others felicitated Chakravarty on the occasion.
Agamoni by Chakravarty was the first Assamese drama aired by Delhi Doordarshan.
