GUWAHATI, June 2 - A plantation drive was conducted by troops of Border Security Force (BSF) at Frontier headquarters in Guwahati in association with the Decathlon team, Azara, today.
DK Tripathi, DIG (PSO), Border Security Force, at the beginning welcomed the Decathlon team. Addressing the BSF personnel, Tripathi reminded them about the significance of flora for the ecosystem.
He stated that planting a tree means nurturing a whole living system and all should strive to keep the environment green. He urged each BSF personnel to convey this noble idea to their colleagues and families.
The plantation drive was conducted at Frontier HQ BSF Guwahati, in which all officers and other ranks of BSF, 1st NDRF and Composite Hospital Patgaon, Guwahati, participated and 300 saplings of various fruit-bearing and other trees were planted.
