CHABUA, June 21 � The Smrittee Surakhya Samittee of Chabua is going to publish a history on the greater area under Chabua Revenue Circle.
The book will include the ancient Satras, temples, mosques and churches in the greater Chabua area and other historical places.
The samittee has requested the locals to contact Ganesh Mahanta, general secretary of the Samittee, College Road, PO Chabua and offer their advice, instructions and also help in this connection.
Unauthorised level crossing: The unauthorised railway level crossing, situated at Balizan Siding posses grave danger to motorists and pedestrians. A turn is situated 200 metres west of the railway crossing.
Students of Montfort High School regularly cross the railway track in buses. The school authority has not taken any interest in setting up unauthorised railway crossing in front of the school gate or at Balizan Siding, it is alleged.
