GUWAHATI, Nov 30 - Socio-cultural organisation Anuprerona on Thursday felicitated Ambika Charan Barman, pioneer hotelier of the North East, for his immense contribution towards growth and development of the hotel industry in the region.
President and secretary respectively of Anuprerona, DN Chakravartty and Deepjyoti Saikia, felicitated Barman at his residence with a bouquet, a gamosa, a seleng sador and a plaque.
Earlier, the organisation felicitated Anju Burhagohain, Tanishi Inam, Runu Saikia, Khubeja Begum, Purabi Kalita and Dr Kumud Sarma Shastri for their pioneering works in different socio-cultural fields.
