Pillai assures review of unresolved clauses

KOKRAJHAR, Feb 11 � Union Home Secretary GK Pillai after the Bodo Accord review meeting today said that the �Team headed by Hagrama Mohilary was performing good for the development in BTAD.�

Before his departure by a Pawan Hans helicopter from SAI complex in Kokrajhar this morning, Pillai told reporters that the matter of direct Central funding to BTC would be considered by the forthcoming 13th Finance Commission, besides modalities for allocations.

At the same-time he revealed that a tripartite talk will be held soon to meet the requirements of unresolved clauses of the Memorandum of settlement 2003. He further said that NDFB must abjure the path of violence for talks.

He also specifically indicated that the matters of withdrawing cases against ex-BLT cadres and ST status to Bodos in Karbi-Anglong are to figure in future discussions.

The Union Home Secretary during his two-day stay also visited many of the centrally sponsored project sites like CIT, Eco-tourism Project at Deeplai beel, Bodofa Cultural complex, etc.

Pillai also reiterated that the matter of security beefing up would be considered for further action in his ministry.

Meanwhile, Hagrama Mohilary, Chief of BTC and Chandan Brahma, State Minister of Transport, etc, have jointly stated that �many of the clauses of MoS, 2003 have been in progressive stage of implementation and a few others remain to be further deliberated upon for implementation.� Expressing satisfaction over Pillai�s visits, both the leaders expressed hope of getting further Central grants and assistance.
