JALUKBARI, Aug 18 - The Department of Communication and Journalism, GU which has started a new course in photojournalism under the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS), organised a photo exhibition today in which around 100 photos captured by the students of the department were displayed. The exhibition was organised on the occasion of World Photography Day which is to be observed tomorrow all over the world.

The photo exhibition was based on themes like 50 years of Media Education in Northeast, On the Go, Pattern in Nature, Freedom and Men at Work. Photographs of historical significance were also displayed at the event.

All the students, faculties and non-teaching staff of the department also remembered Sharampal Choudhury, an eminent photojournalist of the country. Better known as S Paul, he had passed away recently.
