Petroleum dealers� strike withdrawn

GUWAHATI, Oct 15 - A strike called today from 5 pm by the North East Petroleum Dealers� Association (NEPDA), Greater Guwahati unit, against the All Assam Petroleum Mazdoor Union charging additional amount from the dealers in the terminal at Betkuchi, was withdrawn this evening following a meeting with the petroleum dealers� body and the IOCL at the Circuit House here this evening, according to district administration sources.

Earlier, Rajas Goswami, president of NEPDA, had told this reporter that the All Assam Petroleum Mazdoor Union was charging unjustified amounts from the dealers and those refusing to pay the amounts were not given the fuel.
