DIBRUGARH, Aug 25 - After police busted a major diesel adulteration racket recently, police today arrested another accused � Vikash Jain, son of late Vimal Jain of Kartikpara, in connection with the racket pertaining to Chabua PS case (no. 139/20, U/S 379/411 IPC R/W Sec 23 (1) (a) of Petroleum Act and R/W Sec 7 EC Act.
It is necessary to mention that Vikash Jain owns a few fuel depots in the district here. The case traces back to July 23 when police raided one RD Dhaba in Lahoal where the major fuel adulteration racket was unearthed. Police had arrested six persons thereafter in connection with the racket from several areas of Dibrugarh, Tinsukia and Sivasagar districts.
