BARPETA, April 15 - Amidst the turbulent situation over the death of a promising MC College student allegedly due to wrong treatment at the Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed Medical College (FAAMC), the medical college has been accorded permanent affiliation by the Medical Council of India (MCI). A letter issued by the health service regulator stated that the college has been recognised as a full-fledged institution for health education and the ongoing MBBS course need not be renewed every year.
