People want Narendra Modi as next PM: Sonowal

BONGAIGAON, April 21 - Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma today campaigned in two separate places in Bongaigaon district for their alliance candidate Kumar Deepak Das who is in fray in Barpeta Parliamentary Constituency.

Chief Minister Sonowal addressed a poll rally in Manikpur in the district to seek votes for Kumar Deepak Das. The Chief Minister said that people of the State want Narendra Modi as the next Prime Minister in the country after witnessing all-round development in the State. �We do politics of amity and harmony unlike the Congress and the AIUDF which believe in politics of clash and violence�, Chief Minister Sonowal said.

While addressing a poll rally at Gandhi maidan here in the town, Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that people belonging to all castes and creeds want Modi as the next Prime Minister. He could know this desire of the people after participating in over 175 rallies and around 200 km of foot marches, Sarma said.

Local legislator and Minister Phani Bhusan Choudhury in his public address expressed his wish to have a Congress-free Assam and he said that BJP and its alliance nominees will win all the 10 Parliamentary seats which had gone to polls in first and second phase.
