People seek lockdown relaxation in Sadiya

DOOMDOOMA, April 30 - With Sadiya subdivision in Tinsukia district being enlisted in the Green Zone under the COVID-19 pandemic, the people here desire more relaxation in the ongoing lockdown to resist the spread of COVID-19 pandemic.

Tinsukia Additional Deputy Commissioner Shyamal Kshetra Gogoi, who is also in charge of SDO (Civil), Sadiya, said in a press statement that the Sadiya subdivisional administration took all measures to enforce the lockdown at all levels in the subdivision. Due to the active role of police, no case of lockdown violation has been reported from any part of the subdivision.

All government orders, news bulletins and precautionary measures for the prevention of coronavirus transmission are being circulated among the public on a regular basis by the SDIPRO office, Sadiya.

All government offices in the subdivision have been functioning since April 21 following the government order of 33 per cent attendance. Permits for inter-district transport are being issued to the people who have applied for the same at the SDO (Civil) Office, Sadiya from April 25, informed Gogoi.
