GUWAHATI, July 30 - At the call by some religious organisations, people of Assam today offered prayers and lit earthen lamps in their residences seeking early recovery from COVID-19.
The call was given by Asom Sattra Mahasabha, Srimanta Sankaradeva Sangha, Ek Saran Bhagawati Samaj, Sadou Asom Devalaya Sangha, Dakshinpat Satra, Auniati Satra, Barpeta Satra, Mayamora Dinjoy Satra, Uttar Kamalabari Satra, Sangini Satra, Bordowa Noroa Satra and Birbal Satra, ISKCON, Harekrishna Movement, Satsang Bihar, Sadou Assam Brahma Dharma Samiti, Lakshiman Sangha and Bathou (Shiva) Dharma Sangha.
Today being ekadashi, priests of Kamakhya Temple also prayed for mankind�s relief from these difficult times.
