GUWAHATI, Sept 9 - As part of the National Pension Adalat Programme, the Office of the Controller of Communication Accounts, Assam Circle conducted a pension adalat for BSNL pensioners and Department of Telecommunication pensioners at BSNL Bhawan here recently, said an official press release issued here today.
The adalat was inaugurated by GK Chin, Additional Controller General of Communication Accounts, Dept of Telecommunications, New Delhi who stressed the importance of making the pension settlement hassle-free for the pensioners. He also emphasised the importance of peace of mind among the pensioners and urged them to make investments after retirement carefully.
The programme was attended by GG Shabong, Controller of Communication Accounts; Sandeep Govil, Chief General Manager of BSNL and MK Gogoi, Chief General Manager of North East Task Force, Assam Circle.
�Pension grievance programmes like these conducted at national level are essential as they provide an opportunity to investigate the cause for such grievances and put systems in place so that such grievances do not arise in the future,� the release added.
