Patil wishes early recovery of Dr Hazarika

GUWAHATI, July 29 � President Pratibha Devisingh Patil today wrote to Dr Bhupen Hazarika wishing him a speedy recovery. The music maestro�s health condition has slightly improved today.

Talking over phone from Mumbai, Padmashri awardee Surjya Hazarika said that Dr Hazarika has responded to medication, though doctors attending to him at the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital informed that his condition is critical but stable.

Melody queen Lata Mangeshkar and her sister Usha Mangeshkar called up the hospital to enquire about the maestro�s health. Oscar-winning music composer AR Rahman also sent a letter to Dr Hazarika wishing him an early recovery.
