TEZPUR, Dec 6 - Sonitpur police today apprehended the culprits involved in the recent Patia-Chuburi twin murder case, in which an old man of American descent, namely Braiyan Arij, and his wife Asha Arij, were killed at their residence.
The duo that brutally killed the couple has been identified as Gitumoni Bezbaruah and Ujjal Bezbaruah of Nalbari. They were staying at a rented accommodation near the residence of the Arij family.
The incident happened on November 20 night, but came to light after 24 hours of the gruesome murder, creating a huge sensation in the area.
Police had immediately launched an investigation and finally, after 15 days, they managed to apprehend the culprits.
