Paromita Das visiting Prof at Moroccan varsity

GUWAHATI, March 12 - Prof Paromita Das, former head of the Department of History, Gauhati University, has been selected by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations, New Delhi as a visiting professor in the Indian Studies Chair at the prestigious Mohammed V University located at Rabat, capital of Morocco, for a period of two academic sessions from 2019.

Prof Das was earlier nominated by the Union Ministry of Culture as an official delegate to the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) Regional Seminar on Cultural Dynamics in National Harmony in South Asia, at Peredeniya, Sri Lanka, in May 2015.

In August 2018 she was invited to deliver the foundation day lecture at the Indian Council of Historical Research, Northeast Centre.
