GUWAHATI, Nov 16 - Assam boy Parikshit Somani marched into the quarterfinals of the Asian Tennis Tour (ATT) along with seeded players. The main draw of the ATT meet got off at the All Assam Tennis Association�s own complex at Chachal here today.
On the opening day of the main draw, Parikshit defeated Minkhi Talom of Arunachal Pradesh in straight sets 6-1, 7-5. However, other Assam player Ansu Bhuyan went down to Ishaque Eqbal 6-2, 6-4.
Now Parikshit will play against Niki Kaliyanda in the quarterfinal tomorrow who defeated Bhavesh Gour 6-3, 6-4.
