Regarding the NDFB ( R ) faction, he said that the group expressed its willingness for peace talks.

Referring to the incident of intrussion on the India-China border, Lt Gen Gurung said it took place because of wrong perception of the border line. At present the north-eastern sector border situation is peaceful and there is no incident of intrusion in the area, he added.

The GOC denied use of any explosive substances from Sukanjuli firing range, as stated in the CBI report, in the serial blasts in Guwahati.
