GUWAHATI, May 7 - Singer Angarag Papon Mahanta has lent his voice to a song based on the issue of river conservation, which forms part of the musical awareness series named �Express Yourself� produced by Mx Player.
Apart from Papon, the series also features Sonu Nigam, Monica Dogra and Swanand Kirkire, who sang three songs on women�s safety, freedom of speech and inflation.
Talking about the initiative, Papon said, �River conservation is the need of the hour.
Whether it means appealing to the government that comes to power or doing your own bit to bring about change, our natural resources need to be helped if we want to continue living on this planet.�
The prime objective of this series is to make all sections of people aware about the real issues of the country or society.
Political parties or leaders would definitely try to divert these issues, but as responsible citizens of the country, all should know the real issues concerning them, a statement said.
