SILCHAR, Sept 18 - Disappointed with the illusive promises made by the government on the reopening of Cachar and Nagaon Paper Mills, the Revival Action Committee, which is an umbrella organisation, has decided to launch a road blockade programme on September 26.

Manabendra Chakraborty, the chief convener of the action committee, said that apart from road blockade, the committee also decided to launch a series of programmes, including Rail Roko and Barak Bandh .

We are fed up with the illusive and ineffective assurances by the BJP government for reopening of the mills. We feel that the government does not have the will to resume production by opening the mills. We assume both Centre and the State have surrendered before the corporates on this issue, Chakraborty alleged.
