GUWAHATI, July 16 � The nascent Brahmaputra Integrated Development Forum has constituted its technical advisory committee to prepare the action plans for the solution to the State�s flood and erosion problems
According to Muhi Bargohain, general secretary of the Forum, the technical advisory committee will be headed by former NEEPCO executive director Tarun Chandra Bargohain as its president. Incidentally, Tarun Bargohain is also the vice chairman of the Forum.
The committee will prepare a 20-point action plan for the solution of the State�s flood and erosion problems and it would be submitted to the main committee of the Forum shortly.
The main committee of the Forum will finalise and submit the action plan to both the Governments in the State and at the Centre. Besides, MPs from the State would also be supplied with the copies of the action plan, said the Forum general secretary.
