GUWAHATI, Jan 31 - The president of Assam Journalist and Literary Pensioners Association DN Chakravartty, in a statement, suggested the formation of second State Reorganization Commission in the pattern of the one constituted under the chairmanship of Justice Fazal Ali in 1956 in order to pave the way for the settlement of inter-state boundary disputes in the country in general and particularly in the Northeastern region.

Chakravartty said that the new boundary commission, which should be given constitutional status by passing an Act in both Houses of Parliament, should be constituted with three retired Chief Justices and two former Justices of the Supreme Court.
