By Spl correspondent

NEW DELHI, March 22 - The Lok Sabha on Wednesday witnessed a pandemonium over the attack on people of North East origin in Bengaluru.

Raising the issue in the Zero Hour, Tripura MP Jitendra Choudhury said that reports of attacks on Northeasterners from Bengaluru have been pouring in and the government has not taken any action.

He wondered about the fate of the Bezbaruah Committee report and action taken by the government to implement its recommendations. Alleging that the Report remains unimplemented, he demanded that the Committees report should be tabled in the Parliament.

Meanwhile, Suresh Angadi a BJP MP from Karnataka intervened and claimed that such incidents were taking place during the Congress rule but when BJP was in power it had managed to put a halt to such incidents.

His intervention, however, led to a loud protest from the Congress Bench and House witnessed a chaotic scene. The Congress party later demanded that the Centre should take action to stop such attacks.
