GUWAHATI, Oct 14 � The World Hospice and Palliative Care Day was celebrated in Dr B Borooah Cancer Institute here on Saturday last. Every year, this day is celebrated to popularise palliative care service among the masses and to raise funds for the benefit of the patients.
The theme of this year�s celebration was �Achieving Universal Coverage of Palliative Care: Who cares? We do!� In this connection, a patient informative leaflet brought out on the occasion was released by Dr M Bhattacharyya, Additional Professor of Radiation Oncology, while a wall magazine of the Dept of Palliative Medicine was released by the Director, Dr AC Kataki, for the benefit of the patients and relatives.
