Paddler Trisha in Indian squad

GUWAHATI, Jan 30 - Assam paddler Trisha Gogoi has been selected by the Table Tennis Federation of India (TTFI) to represent the Indian team at the ITTF Premium Junior and Cadet Open to be held at Czech Republic from February 14 to 18.

Stating this in a release, the Assam Table Tennis Association (ATTA) secretary Tridib Duvarah said that the TTFI secretary MP Singh intimated the State TT body about her selection. The TTFI is also organising a training camp for the selected players at Patiala from February 6 to 11.

Trisha�s selection was made considering her performances in the national arena last year where she won two national level championships in sub junior category. She was also a part of the Indian team in the World Junior Circuit last year.

The State TT body recently presented her Rs 2 lakh for her consistent performances in the State national championships. The members of the ATTA along with the sporting fraternity of the State congratulated Trisha for her achievement, added a press release.
