GUWAHATI, Oct 5 - The Directorate of Geology and Mining, Assam, signed an agreement with Hindustan Oil Exploration Company Limited, Chennai, for petroleum exploration licence of one OALP block of Assam recently.
GS Panesar, Joint Secretary and Director of Geology and Mining, Assam, and Debashish Gupta, Chief Resident Manager of Hindustan Oil Exploration Company Limited signed the deed in the presence of Sum Ranghang, Minister, Mines and Minerals, Assam, VS Bhaskar, Additional Chief Secretary, Assam, and Dulal Chandra Das, Secretary, Mines and Minerals, Assam, an official release said.
The Minister assured the company of providing it all possible support in its hydrocarbon exploration work in the State.
