Oz says terror risk during CWG high; NZ also worried

By The Assam Tribune

MELBOURNE, Sept 20 (PTI) - Australia today warned that there is a "high risk of terror attack" in New Delhi during the Commonwealth Games, while a jittery New Zealand also expressed concerns about the security of its athletes in the wake of a shooting incident in the Indian capital targeting foreigners.

In its latest travel advisory, Australia's Department of Foreign Affairs said, "Australians in New Delhi should be aware that the Commonwealth Games will be held in a security environment where there is a high risk of terrorism."

"Pay close attention to your personal security at all times and monitor the media for information about possible new safety or security risks. Terrorist attacks could occur at any time anywhere in India with little or no warning," the advisory said.
